At 16, I surfed my first wave at San Juan Beach. In that precise moment, something changed inside me forever. The sea called to me so clearly that I couldn’t ignore it: I decided to leave behind a predictable, comfortable, and stable life to live what the waves had always asked of me. Today, more than 30 years later, I still enter the water with the same enthusiasm as the first day. But now I don’t do it alone.
